Wendy facilitates and writes for the Technology Online website.
Wendy began secondary teaching in 1999 at Gisborne Girls High and became head of the food and fabric department in 2003.
She contributed to the Technology Beacon Practice phase 1 and 2 project.
From 2010 to 2011 she was seconded to Learning Media Ltd to develop assessment resources for the NCEA technology curriculum specialist subject standards from levels 1-3 in: construction and mechanical technologies; digital technologies and processing technologies; some design and visual communication; and generic standards. During this time, Wendy was also involved in the alignment of standards within the New Zealand Curriculum project and also the development of the senior secondary teaching and learning guides for technology.
She has also worked as a contract moderator for NZQA.
Wendy is interested in promoting the technology curriculum and in supporting teachers to implement this to ensure student success.
