Over the last twenty years I have become a proponent, practitioner and facilitator of Te Aho Matua, and Māori Medium Education. I have also held the roles of project manager, research manager and assistant lecturer. My passion for the Māori language, tikanga and traditional Māori games and activities, as well as a strong background in Māori health, has led to the creation of wānanga, where I facilitate and teach differing age groups.

Every child within Aotearoa/New Zealand is entitled to an amazing educational experience, ensuring they eventually realise their dreams, desires and aspirations. Therefore, I am passionate about providing avenues of learning which encourage student fun, and laughter, further assisting students to catch the learning as they play, and helping them to create their versions of success. I truly believe that the concepts of fun and learning are interchangeable.
Within Te Aho Matua Movement, I have been privileged to teach and facilitate varying types of learning in te reo Māori, the language of my ancestors. I am part of an extensive professional learning network where the Māori language is a valued form of communication. I look forward to supporting other teachers in their learning endeavours, as they seek their paths of inquiry and innovation.
I am a high energy, fun loving, motivated, passionate person. I like to see the beauty in something everyday, and a perfect day includes movement in some shape, way of form. My favourite pastime is spending time with my whānau, ko au ko rātou, ko rātou ko au!
