CORE Education Tātai Aho Rau is seeking experienced early years kaiako, leaders and facilitators with recognised competencies and skills to support and mentor early years kaiako, educators teachers to engage and implement the revised Te Whāriki: He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa Early childhood curriculum.

Applicants must have knowledge of and be dedicated to honouring our commitments as a partner in the Tiriti o Waitangi and have experience in engaging with Māori and Pasifika whānau and diverse communities.

CORE is a not for profit education consultancy, professional learning and research agency actively involved working with individual educators and kaiako in the early years sector, kura, schools, clusters and partner organisations.

Opportunities are now available for experienced early years kaiako, educators and teachers to become Curriculum Champions and join our Te Whāriki project team. The purpose of this role is to support and work closely with Pedagogical Leaders | Ngā kaiārahi pūtoi ako within Early Learning Services. They will establish and support communities of practice, where they can facilitate the development of a culture of inquiry within Early Learning Services within their region.

There will be 24 “curriculum champions” contracted for 2 days a week across the regions.

Please ensure prior to your application that you have discussed and gained permission in regard to the aspects of the release for this role with your Manager or Leader.

Please supply two referees. One of these needs to be able to attest to your pedagogical practice, inquiry, and areas of curriculum strengths. The other referee needs to be able to attest to your mentoring and coaching experience.

Interviews will be held via Skype in the week June 19th with the first two-day hui being planned for Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd of July.
