Kaitiaki / Executive Roles

CORE is recruiting for three Kaitiaki / Executive roles.  Working together, this group will take CORE into the future.

This is an exciting opportunity to show true leadership in partnership with Māori, to work in an innovative, forward-thinking distributed model of leadership, and to positively impact the lives of future generations of New Zealanders by continuing to push the boundaries of education.

Our Kaitiaki / Executive Roles

The future Kaitiaki Team will consist of three positions:

Communicator & Relationship Builder;
Change Driver & Business Guardian; and
Innovator & Business Developer.

CORE has an innovative, distributed leadership model, with three Kaitiaki collectively responsible for the guardianship and growth of the organisation. All three Kaitiaki will have specific responsibilities related to their role titles, and share key responsibilities including:

  • Embedding and enacting the Treaty Articles by demonstrating commitment to partnership and the ability to effectively lead partnership with Māori

  • Strategic Leadership

  • People and Culture

The Kaitiaki report directly to the Board, with one member of the team being primary liaison at any given time.
