I have been looking for free software, especially animation to use with the Jane and the Dragon project I am working on, and came across this cute little package.
Animoto is a free animation software from the States. It is very easy to use- I showed Thomas once and he was away creating all sorts of little movies.
This is one that he created from holiday shots of London 2007
and this is one that I did of recent events-the Scouts Mud slide and the Bike Jam he did a few weeks back.
It is free to do 30-second videos, and only costs either US$3 for a longer video or US$30 for a year’s subscription. I had trouble uploading my own music, but they have quite a good library of music you can use. You can also put your video back through the rendering process several times to change it if you do not like the finished result.
I can see this being used on a regular basis.

What brilliant videos. I shall take a look at the site myself. I can’t believe how grown up Thomas looks! Tell him that I am very impressed with his video.
