Slideshow of CORE’s ten trends for 2010 – first presented at the Learning at School conference in Rotorua in February 2010. The ten trends are CORE’s prognosis on what are the coming ten major ICT trends that will make an impact upon education in New Zealand (and other parts of the world) in the coming year.

This is the keynote address I gave at the ULearn09 conference after the original Thursday keynote speaker was unable to be at the conference.The presentation focuses on the future of education, and the role of emerging technologies as identified in the Australia-NZ version of the Horizon report, and the developments around the advanced network in NZ.

Keynote presentation to the Adult Literacy Practitioners Association (ALPA) in Wellington on Friday 22 may, 2009. Focusing on the challenges and changes that the use of ICTs into their work with adult literacy learners may bring, and the potential that these technologies offer to enhance the work they do.
Presentation designed to provide practical examples of how ICTs can be used to support the development of the key competencies as outlined in the New Zealand Curriculum document. An emphasis is given to using applications that are available freely as illustrations, focusing on the ability of students to be able to access these from where-ever and when-ever they want/need to.
An overview of CORE’s ten trends re the use of ICT in education for 2009, presented at the Learning@School conference in Rotorua in February, 2009. The presentation provides an overview of key areas that are likely to impact on the decisions made at the school level about investment in and use of ICTs to support teaching and learning.
A “Big Picture” presentation aimed at inspiring teachers to expand their vision and think more broadly about the ways in which ICTs may be incorporated into classroom programmes to support the development of 21st century learners.
An overview of the various ways in which I use online applications to help manage my life online, including RSS aggregators, calendars, etc.
