The uLearn17 peer-reviewed Research and Inquiry Symposium (RIS) is an opportunity to engage with research and inquiry that relates directly to ‘on the ground’ teaching and learning. This is a unique chance for research and inquiries to be shared by teachers, leaders or researchers. The focus is to advance knowledge and practice in order to transform teaching and learning.
All presentations are peer-reviewed, meaning they have been scrutinised by education and research experts to ensure rigour and relevance.
The Research and Inquiry Symposium runs throughout uLearn17 and will include paper presentations (20 minutes per presentation) grouped under themes, and invited speaker panel discussions as part of the wider conference strand sofa sessions. All presentations are fully integrated into the conference programme and can be booked as part of delegates' personal breakout selection process.
Register for the full uLearn17 conference and attend as many of the Research and Inquiry Symposium sessions as you like.
Thank you for your interest in being part of the Research and Inquiry Symposium.
The Call for Abstracts has now closed. It is open each year from March to May, so please make a note in your diary for next year.
If you submitted an abstract, you will be notified by 30 June whether or not it has been accepted into the programme.
This year, there is one breakout format for sessions in the Research and Inquiry Symposium: a paper presentation.
A paper presentation is a 20 minute presentation as part of a 60 minute or 90 minute group session. All paper presentations are grouped according to themes. Two or three sessions are scheduled in each breakout time slot. The grouped sessions includes a facilitated discussion about the presentations.
