Marking
May 18th, 2004 by gina.revillI’m marking today (sigh)
I wonder if marking feels to us, a bit like what working on an assignment does to our researchers? For me, I find it really tiring as I want to give as much feedback as possible and everyone needs quite different advice depending on where they are at. Having said that, each assignment provides me with a deeper understanding of the people I am working with.

Hi. It’s no good trying to make us feel sorry for you now
I’ve just read your previous entry - it sounded amazing!
For the record, the action enquiry module left me exhausted - and that was only supposed to be ‘a taster’. Speak soon, Love Mo x

I would think there is a big difference because you are dealing with a large number of people, for a short period each, whereas we are having to spend a large amount of time trying to gain a deeper understanding of just one person which is our self, and that can be very exhausting, yes.
Suddenly it’s too hot now as well, i should be down at the beach really, instead of sitting here.
Is it winter yet?

Yes-I see what you both mean-different ends of the scale-but both exhausting. (but worthwhile!) As for winter-yes it is but today is one of the blue sky canterbury days and I have no coat on!
