While I was staying with Pete and Ali, I was lucky enough to watch Pete Morris dancing. I’ve been told they paint their faces because traditionally, the dancers used to go from house to house begging and wanted to remain anonymous.
It really was a great night-we drove through winding country lanes and beautiful little villages to get to the pub where they were performing (can’t remember any names 
and there were also some clog dancers in bright red and green. Lovely!
