This sign was on the side of a cute wee pub in Manchester. I went in to ask the people behind the bar what the word meant but they didn’t know? Any guesses?
Cute we pub! Na, thats the Britains protection a favourite watering hole of mine when I lived in Manchester. As far as I remeber it is near the Bridgewater Hall - the new home of Manchester’s resident orchestra! Of course I coule be wrong, but……
Do you know I saw a luminescent small blue bird in the dirty canal alongside———a kingfisher??????? Middle of Manchester?? I’ve searched rural Southern England for years. Don’t tell me I’m not going mad. Any views?
