Trying to be Oscar
September 22nd, 2004 by gina.revillStephen and I have been working together for the last few days and trying to concentrate on MA work. When you don’t really want to be working hard, there are so many things to distract you, mostly Google. Stephen termed it ‘Online Masturbation’.
We have been aspiring to Oscar Wilde status but no one can compete with him. Stephen did think of another doozy though-’The unethused chasing the unattainable’.
It was a desperate moment in the middle of the literature review…

Is that because googling is something you do secretly when you really ought to be doing something else…or is there another explanation…? (I’m not sure I want to know if there is :-)!)
