YMCA
September 22nd, 2004 by gina.revill
I saw this long line of construction workers in bright coloured clothes in Manchester last week and couldn’t resist stopping to take a photo. They noticed-and started, well doing what construction men do, so I asked them to sing YMCA for me.
They did! I was laughing too much to film it…

What is it with you and English builders? First the builder with the floppy hammer, and now these guys.
Were you wearing your sparkly skirt at the time?
And now I suppose you’ll be ‘getting a man in’ to look at your plumbing - or your skirting.
I think you should concentrate on your driving…

Look Blackbeard I don’t pay you to give away my secrets-the builder story was sensitive information. I may have to come over and challenge you to a duel with my cutlass arr arr

Young men, there’s no need to feel down, I said young men….
tee hee, men with muscles… yum!
And Gina - I like Steve-the-pirate’s train of thought… can we get a man in to do the plumbing? Pretty please?

I taught a boy called Stephen Powell at Manning Intermediate in 1969 - not your one I hope - he was even stroppier than you.
And I love a man in a tool belt myself - even bought Steve one for Father’s Day once, and he’s not even my dad. xxxxxxxx
