Cream or jam first?

I don’t like to shock my more sensitive readers, so a cautionary note must appear here before reading on…
Ig and I have just spent a lovely weekend in charming Louth with Ali, who took us to some great places-but during a break on the way there, Igor had a cream tea. And I obtained photographic evidence that he PUTS THE CREAM ON THE SCONE BEFORE THE JAM!!!!!!

That’s not necessarily the main issue. The main issue is whether you pronounce it ’sconns’ or ’scoanes’…
