KnowledgeNet/SmartAsk are another alternative.
I met with a web design company today to get a quote to build something unique for us.
so ... possibly using Joomla CMS as a back end to the site - and therefore readily customisable too.  It is pretty expensive as a one-off but over a potential 5-10 year life of a good site it doesn&#039;t sound quite so bad :-)

		<description>I&#039;m about to re-do our school website (Southbridge School).  I re-did it from scratch two years ago but am bored with it now.  It&#039;s just the same as everyone elses &amp; doesn&#039;t reflect how we are at Southbridge.  I also want it so that the teachers and kids can update their pages directly.  I&#039;d like it to be more interactive.  I am looking at using Site@School - have you come across it at all?
