7 Things You Should Know About… is an educause resource that covers blogs, wikis, podcasts, video logs, etc. Each .pdf is a 2-page overview of the technology, addressing questions such as “what is it, how does it work, where is it going, what are the implications?”. This is one area in the excellent educause resource section. Educause is a nonprofit association whose mission is “to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology”, so there is an emphasis on tertiary education, but there are many resources (such as articles and links) useful for professional learning.
