uk’s radio waves

Radio Waves is a network of online radio stations “created by and for young people” providing schools with their own stations and an international broadcast platform. While the vast majority of radio stations are UK based, there are a few from other countries, indicating that a NZ school would be able to start a station.

Check out Glastonbury Kidz, where young interviewers discuss the glastonbury festival playground (and state of the toilets), and Marden High (Tyne) who use the site to store pieces of music created by students for their GCSE Music exam. Live broadcasting is possible, and tutorials are provided.
