step-by-step collaboration

This site has been around for a while, but it’s worth a look from a personal and an educational point of view (yes - kids could use this in classroom activities…); Instructables is a large collection of “how-tos” developed by and for people who want to share their knowledge on how they did something.

From the about page ” we’ve set out to create a convenient set of tools for documenting what you’ve made, finding what other people have made, or just to inspire people of the range of human creativity and the cool things people make and the way they make it. ”

You get a good sense of the range of instructables by clicking on the “click to explore” button. Alternatively there’s a search tool.

NB: For Sudoku fans there’s an instructable that tells you how to solve Sudokus without thinking.
