Simon Says…
Found this cool little application on the FreeMacWare blog a little while ago. It’s the old 80’s game Simon. Go on don’t deny it you know what I’m talking about…It’s a nice little time waster (Macs dont have Spider and Solitare built in!) for those of you who need to play a bit between work tasks. Yet another tool I have found to ease my procrastination addiction.
You can download Simon here.

A thought for the day….
Found this story on Dean Shareski’s Blog today, reminds me a little of an earlier post.

Slushy Mushy Muddy Pit!

Although these images don’t give the Slushy Mushy Muddy Pit nearly enough credit (bearing in mind its the middle of winter here). The above images are of a ‘real mud pit’ created by the wonderful teachers at Waimauku Kindergarten. I have had the pleasure of seeing first hand a designated mud pit in an early childhood service. What a wonderful feature! There are lots of stories in children’s portfolios depicting the incredible experience for children…oh and teachers. There’s something about mud that brings back a feeling of FUN! I remember making mud pies and squishing my toes when I was younger. How many opportunities do children today get to explore mud!
A huge thank you to the teachers at Waimauku Kindergarten for allowing me to share your fantastic outdoor feature. What a great idea!
Dumpr Puzzler Pic
Not too long ago Greg taught me how to create a Bookmark Folder. Thanks Greg! This evening as one of my great attempts to procrastinate (because I’m soo good at that) I’ve decided to go through my Bookmarks folder titled..wait for it..Things2Try. Seriously, I have a whole lot of websites that I’ve bookmarked to try at a later date. A little while ago Tania posted a blog referring to Dumpr. A neat little website that lets you play around with your pics, she had used the Sketch tool, so I thought I’d give the website a go and have tried the puzzle tool. Pretty cool…and a nice way to conveniently divert from other pressing tasks.
We’ve Moved House!
I’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front recently. But I’m pleased to announce that I’m an official home owner! I have finally unpacked all I can for the time being. (Still trying to find space for the work stuff). The kids and I are enjoying having our own home. Thank you to those of you who helped us move, to everyone for their encouraging words and to the EC Girlz for the vouchers ![]()
