Barbara is currently principal of Albany Senior High School. She started her teaching career as an English and Drama teacher and she has taught in a wide range of schools including Northcote College and Fairfield College. She has had two previous principalships – at Ngaruawahia High School and Te Awamutu College.

Barbara is passionate about education, has worked on many of the professional bodies that mentor and support teachers and principals and is excited by the challenges of establishing the first state funded senior high school. Barbara has a strong commitment to nurturing and developing the talent that every child brings to the school.

In her talk, ‘It’s not IF you are bright, it’s HOW you are bright”, Barbara explores the challenges of creating a senior school which caters for the needs of every student living in a 21st century world.


Along with the new features that we are bringing to the ULearn09 conference, we also introduce our new ULearn conference website with a new look and new features.

 

 

 

 

Not all the data behind the front page is there yet, but this week we are bringing across all forum features and pages of relevant information.  Already the fresh new look is getting a positive response.
